Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have named their newborn son Saint West, the reality show star of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" announced on Twitter and her website.
There was no picture, though, just some emojis. Photos of Saint West are probably part of a much bigger rollout.
Kardashian told
E! News the decision to name the child came late in her pregnancy.
"We just started talking about it and that was the last thing for us last time."
One source told
Us Weekly that West, 38, and Kardashian, 35, had referred to their son as a "saint" during her pregnancy because they had a difficult time conceiving in the past.
Saint joins big sister North in the West-Kardashian clan, whose name needed some explaining when she was born in 2013.
"The way (Kim) explained it to me was North means 'highest power,' and she says that North is (Kim and Kanye's) highest point together," Kardashian's mother Kris Jenner said on "The View" in 2013, noted Us Weekly. "And I thought that was really sweet."
Social media poked fun at Saint West's name.
