Keith Urban met Ruth Reed in New Jersey on Friday when she paid for his coffee at a Wawa; she heard him ask his sister for some cash and jumped in to pay like she had done once a week for others who needed it.

Reed didn’t know the man she bought coffee for was the country singer with a long string of hits — in fact, she didn’t even believe it was Keith Urban at first, even though she told him he looked like the singer, NJ.com reported.

Urban told her to ask his bodyguard for confirmation that he was actually the country star.

“It was then I realized what an idiot I was,” Reed wrote a Facebook post.

Reed, who works as a substitute teacher, said on the social media platform that she had been trying to treat someone at Wawa once a week to help them out as a personal resolution.

Twitter lauded Reed’s kindness and luck at meeting someone famous because of it.
