Kathie Lee Gifford’s son, Cody, has tied the knot with Erika Brown, his girlfriend of seven years.
Gifford shared the happy news with her followers Monday on Instagram.
"God gave us a glorious day to celebrate this glorious couple. So grateful," the former "Today" co-host captioned a wedding photo of Cody and Erika, who are holding hands and smiling at one another.
Erika also shared the news on Instagram.
"Happily ever after," she captioned a photo in which she is embracing Cody. She also wrote "Matthew 19:6," which states "So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate."
Gifford gushed over the newlywed couple in reply to the post.
"Cody married!! Cassidy married! I am the happiest mama in the world!," she wrote.
Cody and his wife began dating in 2013 and got engaged in May 2019. Their marriage comes as a delight to Gifford, who revealed to AARP last year that she had been suffering from "crippling loneliness" since the deaths of her husband and mother.
The 67-year-old's husband, Frank Gifford, died in August 2015 and her mother's death came two years later. Since then Gifford said it became increasingly easier to let despair settle in.
"And the loneliness can be crippling," she said, according to Fox News.
Gifford added that she was making changes to her life to overcome those emotions.
"You battle a lot of things when you get older, especially as a widow, when you lose a spouse," she said. "It dawned on me the other day, I'm a widow, I'm an orphan, because my mother also passed and I'm an empty nester all at the same time. If you're not careful, what you've lost in life can define you. It's so much healthier to be defined by what you still have."
