U.S. luger Kate Hansen took a video of what appeared to be a wolf roaming down the hall of her dorm in Sochi, creating perhaps her second viral Olympic moment this week.
The 21-year-old Californian,
whose dance moves gained international attention last week, posted a video clip on Twitter Thursday of her close encounter.
Sochi's stray dog population has been widely reported since the Olympics kicked off earlier this month. Some Olympic athletes are even volunteering to take some of the animals home with them after learning that the local government was planning to "catch and dispose" of the dogs.
It's not clear if the animal Hansen caught on tape was an actual wolf or a breed of Siberian Husky.
Hansen, who finished in 10th place in last week's luge competition, has made headlines for her impressive pre-run warmup dance routines.
She told NBC Sports in an interview last week that she always listens to Beyonce to get pumped up for competition.
"My girl, B – she just gets me fierce and I get stoked and I have to," she said. "I have good mojo going on, so it's just how I roll."
