Karolina Pliskova vented her frustration on the umpire's chair with her racket after her loss to Maria Sakkari Wednesday in Rome.
The No. 6 seed from the Czech Republic was seen arguing with the umpire on several occasions during the match, which she lost 3-6, 6-3, 7-5 in the second round of the Italian Open, USA Today reported.
Once the match ended, Pliskova shook hands with her opponent but when it came time for her to acknowledge the umpire, she instead raised her racket and slammed it into the umpire's chair at least twice before walking off the court.
Photos posted to Twitter documented the damage done to the chair.
Sports fans also took to social media to point out that several calls made by the umpire were wrong.
No fine was announced and USA Today reported that the Women's Tennis Association had not responded to queries regarding the incident, but event organizers have been clamping down on tennis players for unsportsmanlike conduct.
Earlier this year CoCo Vandeweghe was fined $10,000 after shouting an obscenity at her opponent at the Australian Open.
Vandeweghe, who had been suffering from flu, told reporters that Babos had been "getting in my face," prompting her to shout at her and fling her racket to the ground.
