Karlie Kloss is about to become a mom. The model and her husband Joshua Kushner, whose brother Jared Kushner is married to Ivanka Trump, are expecting their first child together, People confirmed on Thursday.
"Karlie is overjoyed to be expecting her first child in 2021," a source told the outlet. "She will be the most amazing mother."
The news comes on the heels of the couple's second wedding anniversary, which they celebrated on Oct. 18. They tied the knot in 2018, months after Kushner proposed to Kloss during a romantic weekend together in upstate New York. Kloss announced the news in an Instagram post.
"I love you more than I have words to express," she captioned a photo of the couple on the beach. In the image, Kloss is kissing Kushner on the cheek. "Josh, you're my best friend and my soulmate. I can't wait for forever together. Yes a million times over."
Kloss caused a stir earlier this week after she endorsed Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden on Instagram. Jared Kushner is President Donald Trump's advisor and, as a result, her announcement made headlines.
"What’s your voting plan?" Kloss captioned two photos of herself wearing a mask with Biden and Harris' campaign logo on the front. In her hand she is holding a sealed mail-in ballot. "This was mine — signed, sealed, (notarized), and delivered #voteBLUE #scienceoverfiction"
In a 2019 interview with British Vogue, Kloss discussed the conflicting political views in her family.
"It's been hard," she admitted, "But I choose to focus on the values that I share with my husband, and those are the same liberal values that I was raised with and that have guided me throughout my life."
