Kim Kardashian and Kanye West filed a lawsuit Thursday against a YouTube co-founder for allegedly violating a confidentiality agreement and posting a video of their marriage proposal on his new video-sharing website.
The Associated Press reported the lawsuit states that Chad Hurley, owner of the new video site MixBit, was not a guest at the ornate engagement held at San Francisco's AT&T Park. Hurley was allowed to stay after he signed an agreement prohibiting him from posting images or videos of the Oct. 21 event.

West and Kadashian took a photo of Hurley holding the signed confidentiality agreement, which is attached to the lawsuit,
TMZ reported.
Hurley posted a fuzzy two-and-a-half-minute video on Mixbit of
West proposing to Kardashian on her 33rd birthday as an orchestra performed. The video also captured the newly-engaged couple being toasted by Kardashian's family and friends.
West permitted other cameras to film the special event for possible use on E! Entertainment Television, home to his fiancee's show "Keeping Up With the Kardashians." The suit seeks unspecified damages from Hurley and his company, Avos Systems, Inc.
"Exclusive rights, such as those sold by plaintiffs to publication of video of the event, are particularly valuable," the lawsuit states. "If people violate these rights ... they are of substantially diminished value."
E! News reported the lawsuit also states: "Hurley proceeded to try to turn the event into one starring himself, broadcasting the images he knew were the exclusive property rights of someone else."
Commenters on the TMZ said the leaked video of the engagement shouldn’t be a big deal for the limelight-loving duo.
"Oh, you mean that precious, private moment that she wanted to show on their reality overly scripted show???" wrote one poster. "She's suing because she's afraid it will have an impact on the shows ratings. PLEASE just go AWAY, and STAY private, with EVERYTHING you do from now on KK and family!!"
Another wrote: "If this fiasco was supposed to be a surprise to Kim, then how does she know who was invited?"
