Kardashian 'Distraught' Over Divorce, Leaving Australia Early

By    |   Thursday, 03 November 2011 12:06 PM EDT

Kim Kardashian will be leaving Australia early due to the fact that she is so “distraught” over her divorce, TMZ reports.

According to TMZ, Kardashian told friends that her premature departure will be the first time that she has missed work, but that she just can’t handle the stress right now.

Kardashian, flanked by younger sister Khloe, appeared on the “Sunrise” morning show to talk about her divorce after only 72 short days of marriage to basketball star Kris Humphries, reports MTV News.

“I really wanted to stick with my commitment to come out here to Australia,” Kim explained. “I love our fanbase out here. Of course, I do want some time to myself, and it’s a really tough thing to go through, but I didn’t want to bail on everyone and skip out on this commitment. I just have Khloe and Lamar [Odom] here with me, and we’re getting trhough it. That’s really all I can do,” Kim said.

Kim, with the support of mother Kris Jenner, has denied rumors that she made money off of the nuptials.

“I think what really upsets me most is that there have been, from the start, so many rumors of money and dollar signs, of all these things thrown up in the air, that this cost this much, and this much . . . And so much of it not being true,” Kim said.
