Americans Justin and Stephanie Shults on Saturday were confirmed killed in the terrorist bombing at the Brussels airport on March 22, reported NBC News.

Justin Shults, 30, and Stephanie Shults, 29, who had moved to Belgium in 2014, had just dropped off Stephanie's mother at the airport when two suicide bombers exploded their devices, said NBC News. In all, 35 people were killed in the attacks last week, including the three suicide bombers, and the identifications came slowly.

The couple met at Vanderbilt University's Owens Graduate School of Management, where they both earned master's degrees in accounting in 2009, according to The Tennessean. Stephanie Shults worked at Mars, Inc. in Brussels, the company acknowledged on Facebook.

"Today we learned from Stephanie Shults' family that she and her husband, Justin, were among those killed in the attack on the Brussels airport," Mars said. "We are mourning the loss of our colleague and friend. Our hearts and thoughts are with their families, and with all those who are suffering during this terrible time."

Justin Shults had worked for Clarcor, in Franklin, Tennessee, as part of its global finance team since May, 2012, according to the company's website. Clarcor makes mobile, industrial and environmental filtration products, domestically and internationally.

"We grieve with their families and continue to offer our support as they mourn this unimaginable loss," Clarcor said. "… He has lived with his wife, Stephanie, in Brussels since 2014. He will be remembered by his Clarcor community as an intelligent, kind, and loyal friend and employee. Justin will be greatly missed by those who knew him."
