Justin Bieber was released from Los Angeles International Airport Friday after spending nearly four hours detained by U.S. Customs,
his representative confirmed to Us Weekly.
Bieber, 20, landed at 1 p.m. local time on April 24 after a trip to Asia, and his entourage waited outside.

"It was a routine secondary set of questioning that Justin has to go through now every time he comes back in the country because he's a foreign national," an unidentified source told Us Weekly. "It's standard, especially after he has had other legal issues in the U.S. in the past."
The representative of the singer of "Heartbreaker" and "Boyfriend" confirmed that he was detained for four hours.
Bieber was arrested on Jan. 23 for an alleged DUI and for reportedly drag racing in Miami Beach. The trial is scheduled to begin May 5.
Bieber's detainment comes one week after the
White House responded to a petition that asked for the Canadian native to be deported. The petition was in response to the drag racing charges.
"Sorry to disappoint, but we won't be commenting on this one," the White House said in a statement. "We'll leave it to others to comment on Mr. Bieber's case, but we're glad you care about immigration issues. Because our current system is broken. Too many employers game the system by hiring undocumented workers, and 11 million people are living in the shadows."
In their response, the White House argued that immigration reform will reduce the deficit by almost $1 trillion in the next 20 years, which "For those of you counting at home, that's 12.5 billion concert tickets — or 100 billion copies of Mr. Bieber's debut album."
Other celebrities have weighed in on Bieber's public troubles, including "Mad Men" star Jon Hamm.
"'Look at Bieber or whoever,"
Hamm said in the May issue of Men's Fitness. "You're like, 'What the f—, man? What are you doing? Why?' There's no one telling those people no, and it's a shame.
