Judge Jeanine Pirro was accused of driving 119 mph in a 65 mph zone in upstate New York in November, but the former Westchester County District Attorney and Fox TV host instead pleaded guilty to a 95 mph speeding ticket, The New York Post reported.
As part of the deal, Pirro had to pay a $300 fine plus a $93 surcharge and will take a defensive driving course.
The 66-year-old "Justice with Judge Jeanine" star was driving to her hometown in Elmira to visit her mother who is suffering from cancer when she was caught speeding in her 2017 Cadillac in the town of Nichols.
Pirro later said in a statement that she was not aware of how fast she had been driving because she had been on the road for several hours, The Journal News noted.
However, according to the trooper who had clocked her speeding, Pirro admitted to being aware of driving over the speed limit.
"I had been driving for hours to visit my ailing 89-year-old mom and didn't realize how fast I was driving," Pirro said, according to The New York Post. "I believe in the rule of law, and I will pay the consequences."
According to the New York Department of Motor Vehicles, a driver exceeding the speed limit by 30-mph can receive six points on a New York driver's record.
Rack up 11 points in an 18-month period and drivers could have their licenses suspended and their insurance premiums skyrocket, the New York Daily News said.
It is not known whether Pirro will be allocated points to her license.
