Former MLB slugger Jose Canseco has been on a mission to find Bigfoot and to discover aliens, but now he is worried that both may have contracted coronavirus and passed it on to him.
"Can Bigfoot or aliens get Coronavirus I need to know because I have had contact with them," Canseco queried in a tweet over the weekend. It appears he was not joking.
Over a year ago, Canseco allegedly called on members of the public to join him on a Bigfoot and alien excursion that was limited to "five lucky individuals" and would cost $5,000. His manager and girlfriend Morgan Strelow confirmed the trip was legit, according to an article published last year by Las Vegas Review-Journal.
Twitter users were quick to poke fun at his concerns of contracting coronavirus from the UFOs and from Bigfoot, which he allegedly had contact with.
"Bigfoot is notoriously good at social distancing, I wouldn't worry about it," one Twitter user replied.
"Big foot yes. Aliens no," another joked.
"Yes they can. Alf was diagnosed last week," a third user quipped.
Canseco's tweet comes as the coronavirus pandemic continues to sweep across the globe. More than 2.4 million coronavirus cases have been diagnosed worldwide as of Monday. Of that, over 771,000 are in the U.S., Fox News noted. The U.S. has seen more than 41,000 deaths due to the virus.
