John Cusack believes that the star-studded Democratic National Convention is nothing but a "s---ty celebrity filled reality tv convention." The actor blasted the event, which featured speeches and performances from top celebrities, in a series of scathing tweets fired off Thursday.
"Do ya think anyone at dnc entertained the idea - in removing a s---ty reality tv star President - Ya might want to avoid presenting a slightly less s---ty -but unmistakable Campy kitsch and yes s---ty celebrity filled reality tv convention - This might not be a good idea ?" he wrote in one tweet.
He followed the post up with another tweet stating: "it's all showbiz- all the time. RIP America."
Cusack then took a swipe at "benevolent" billionaire and former Democratic candidate Mike Bloomberg, who he called a "high priest of neoliberalism," before turning his attention to President Donald Trump.
"I will do anything to vote Trump out / end trump gop deathkkult reign," he said in response to a follower that said she hoped Cusack would be "more inspired to support after his speech."
Cusack ended his rant off by sharing his hope that Joe Biden could win the election in November.
"Let’s all enjoy the thought of Biden winning and as a nation fighting back trump fascism & 1 st day in office make them deliver new deal for us - their coroprste lobbiests think they be in control - but history has a way of making itself happen -" he wrote.
