Joe Biden’s “bromance” with former President Barack Obama took center stage on social media as the two left the White House in January, and the former vice president says there’s one meme in particular that’s his favorite.
Biden’s daughter Ashley Biden told Dow Jones blog Moneyish that Biden “sat there for an hour and laughed” after seeing a series of memes featuring his relationship with Obama.
According to Ashley, Biden’s favorite meme is one of them hugging, with a caption below highlighting their eight years together in the White House.
Michelle Obama and Jill Biden spoke about their husbands’ relationship in an interview with People magazine just before Obama handed over the presidency to President Donald Trump.
“They’ll go for long walks, looking into each other’s eyes,” the former first lady jokingly said during the interview.
“They’re going to be eating ice cream together somewhere, I’m sure,” Jill Biden said.
She also talked about their “beautiful friendship,” saying “I don’t think we’ve really seen a lot of that, especially in politics. But I think they really love one another.”
Michelle Obama said Biden was like “the big brother” to her husband.
During their time working together, Obama and Biden were sometimes seen on the White House putting green together and would also have lunch together on a regular basis.
The former first lady added that Biden is someone her husband “respects and admires.”
“It’s the best decision that Barack has made as president of the United States, picking Joe and Bidens as our partners in this journey,” the former first lady said.
Many Obama-Biden memes have surfaced on the Internet since the two left office at the end of January.
