“Harry Potter” actor Jim Tavare broke his neck in a car accident and was in an intensive care unit on Thursday with multiple other injuries.

Tavare, who played Tom – “the Leaky Cauldron innkeeper” – in “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Askaban,” suffered serious injuries in the Monday head-on collision in the Los Angeles area, according to Entertainment Tonight.

His wife Laura informed the public about her husband’s condition in a post on his Facebook page that featured a picture of him lying in an ICU bed while giving the camera a thumbs up.

“This is Laura here. Now that his family have been informed, Jim has asked me to let you all know that he was involved in a serious car accident yesterday, a head on collision,” the post read. “He’s currently in ICU intensive care.”

“He has 15 broken ribs, fractures in both breastbones, a punctured lung, multiple breaks in his right leg, and a broken neck.”

The British actor, who resides in Los Angeles, has also made a career out of making people laugh, noted the Huffington Post, and  he co-wrote and starred on “The Sketch Show,” a British TV comedy.

Tavare arrived on the entertainment scene almost two decades ago.

Many took to Twitter to wish the “Harry Potter” actor well.
