Amazon.com CEO Jeff Bezos suited up in a giant robot called Method-2 at Amazon’s annual robotics conference, and he apparently had a great time doing so.
Bezos tweeted about climbing into the suit by Hankook Mirae Technology and operating the arms on Sunday.
The suit is in development by the South Korea-based company, and some had speculated before Bezos’ stunt that the robot didn’t really exist or was a fake, based on some videos that had been released earlier.
The 13-foot robot didn’t walk around during the show, but Bezos did move the arms with the controls, Gizmodo reported.
“Why do I feel so much like Sigourney Weaver,” Bezos joked in another tweet that included a video, alluding to the "Alien" movies.
The conference is invitation-only and dedicated to machine learning, home automation, robotics, and space exploration, thus forming the acronym MARS.
Bezos has previously said he wants to go into space, according to Business Insider.
More than one Twitter user suspected Bezos possessed a striking similarity to another armor-suited billionaire genius.
Bezos is the fifth richest man in the world, according to The Verge. The Korean robot is said to cost more than $8 million.
