Jeep Corvette Parking War: Double-Parked Sports Car Gets Schooled

By    |   Thursday, 25 September 2014 01:47 PM EDT

Jeep driver Kyle DeMattia got even with an anonymous Corvette driver who took up two parking spots at a Red Robin restaurant in New Jersey last weekend and now a photo of the revenge has gone viral online.

The Corvette driver parked sideways across two spots, apparently to ensure that no one could pull next to his sports car. But that didn't stop DeMattia, who drove his mud-splattered Jeep up onto a sidewalk, practically blocking the driver's side door of the Corvette.

"The parking lot was packed except for a few spaces at the back and I could see people parking and walking by [the double-parked Corvette] in just plain annoyance," DeMattia, 20, told NJ Media Advance.

"I just did enough to make him think some (expletive) kid in a Jeep came and messed with his mid-life crisis mobile," he added.

DeMattia said the Corvette driver's reaction was worth the effort it took to get his Jeep up on the curb. He recorded the ordeal and posted it to YouTube, where it's received 1.7 million views since Sunday. After the Corvette man left, DeMattia went out and re-parked his car.

DeMattia's park job found plenty of supporters on Twitter.
