JaVale McGee of the Denver Nuggets didn't get the loose ball he was chasing down against the New Orleans Pelicans, but he did manage to make a pass at a fan sitting courtside and sealed it with a kiss.
The 7-foot center stumbled out of bounds going for the ball after a missed three-point shot. McGee landed in an empty seat next to a fan at Denver's Pepsi Center and he planted a kiss on the surpised fan's cheek before leaping back onto the court rejoin play. It was all caught on camera,
reported USA Today.
Fox Sports identified the fan as Marilyn Qualgliano, who appeared to get a big laugh out of the incident. According to USA Today, it didn't hurt McGee's play either, as he went 6 for 6 from the field and finished with 14 points in helping the Nuggets to a 117-97 victory.
His scoring output was one of his best of the season so far.
According to ESPN, McGee is averaging 5.6 points per game and 3.0 rebounds per contest in 13 games so far this season. He is shooting 59.6 percent from the field in a little more than 11 minutes per game, according to his statistics.
Some fans on social media seemed to enjoy McGee's side court antics.
