Janney "Chiquis" Marin, the daughter of the late Mexican-American singer Jenni Rivera, opened up this week about the rumors that she was having an affair with her stepfather when her mother died.
Marin, Rivera's 28-year-old daughter from her first marriage, said the nasty allegations that she was having a relationship with Rivera's third husband — former MLB pitcher Esteban Loaiza — forever ruined her relationship with her mother, who died in a plane crash in December 2012.

"The world and my family lost Jenni on December 9; I lost my mother two months before on October 2. It was a misunderstanding,"
Marin said in an interview this week with Azteca America, as reported by Us Magazine. "My world ended that day.
"There were so many people filling her head with things," she said. "If there's a problem with someone you should ask them directly, and that's something she didn't do. To this day, my mother, in her heart, thinks I had something with Esteban."
Rivera was 43 years old when she died in the plane crash near Monterrey, Mexico. The Grammy-nominated singer, actress, and reality TV star had reportedly kicked her daughter out of her home a few months before her death, and filed for divorce from Loaiza just one day before the accident.
"I don't understand how the rumor got started, this horrible thing that has caused so much suffering," Marin said. "Every day I have to live with this, no one knows the pain I carry, especially because it was a misunderstanding, there were so many people in the middle that caused so much pain, so many problems that it was impossible not to be upset."
