Isaiah Owens, the keyboard player for Jack White's band, has died at age 38 of a heart attack, Third Man Records announced.

Owens, also known as "Ikey," was found dead in his hotel room Tuesday in Mexico.

Rocker White is canceling his remaining tour dates in Mexico out of respect following the death of Owens, a publicist said.

Owens, originally from Long Beach, California, had recently moved to Nashville, Tennessee, to perform with White's band, The Associated Press said.

The band had scheduled shows in Guadalajara on Tuesday and Monterrey on Wednesday.

Owens also played in other bands, including Mars Volta and Free Moral Agents. "We will all miss you Ikey," the band said in a statement. "You were and are an incredible artist."

Owens was remembered on Twitter by fans and friends.
