Details about the about Apple’s iPad Air 2 are reported to have been leaked ahead of the company’s media event planned for later this month.

The Michael Report say they received pictures and illustrations of the new iPad Air 2 from sources within the company.
Some of the details described on The Michael Report include:
• A fully-laminated display, which will allow the device to be thinner (about 0.5 mm). than the current iPad.
• The front-facing camera is expected to include FaceTime HD, and the back camera is expected to be upgraded to 8 megapixels.
• A more efficient A8 processor, two gigabytes of RAM and storage options of 32, 64 and 128 GB.
• Touch ID scanner built into the home button and Apple Pay.
• Gold color option in addition to black and silver.
• Single row speaker grill, recessed volume controls and relocation of the microphone, removal of the mute/vibration switch.
Apple already is mass producing the iPad Air 2, according to The Michael Report.
All details about the coming iPad Air 2 (or iPad 6) are speculative, according to Mac World, but more than one dummy model of the new device is said to have been spotted.
Apple hasn’t confirmed a launch date for the new iPad, but most technology experts expect to see it at the Oct. 16 event.
