After a bridge on I-15 caught fire and collapsed Monday, travelers between Los Angeles and Las Vegas, Nevada, have been told to use alternate routes while crews tear down the rest of the bridge.
Specifically, travel is being restricted in the Cajon Pass area after a cutting torch is believed to have started the fire on a wooden portion of the bridge that was under construction early Monday afternoon,
causing the bridge to partially collapse twice, The Los Angeles Times reported.

There were no injuries reported other than a contractor was
treated for smoke inhalation according to KABC-TV in Los Angeles.
Crews have been using heavy equipment to tear down the Ranchero Road overpass. Motorists are being advised to use highways 138 and 18 in southern California at least through Wednesday while the cleanup of debris that fell to the roadway continues.
