"House Hunters" host Suzanne Whang has died after a long battle with breast cancer. She was 56.

"A lifetime of love, adventure, humor and bliss now lives in our memories," said her partner Jeff Vezain in a heartfelt post to Facebook, adding that she had passed away Tuesday evening at their Los Angeles home.

"For thirteen years she confronted cancer with courage, humor, determination and optimism," he continued, noting that Whang would have preferred her life to "be celebrated, as opposed to her passing mourned."

Whang is best known as the host and narrator of "House Hunters," although she also appeared in several series including "General Hospital" and "Dexter." Her fame provided her with a platform to speak openly about her cancer in hopes of creating awareness around the disease.

"I believe every human being is a fascinating gold mine, and we each have multiple stories from our lives that the world would benefit from hearing," she said in a 2017 interview with HuffPost. "I believe that being honest and bold and funny about my journey helped me reclaim my health, and I encourage anybody going through difficulties to reach out for help," she continued. "As human beings, we were not meant to go through challenges alone."

HGTV joined friends, family and fans to mourn Whang's death.

"Suzanne was warm, funny and kind with a distinctive voice that made everyone feel at home," the network said in a statement to E! News. "Our HGTV family mourns her loss and wishes to express deepest condolences to her friends, fans and family who knew and loved her."
