The three occupants of an Amish horse and buggy were robbed at gunpoint in central Pennsylvania this week after a masked man forced them off the road and demanded their money.
Police say a white minivan tried to drive the horse and buggy off of East Eby Road in East Lampeter Township around 12:40 a.m. Monday, according to The Associated Press. The buggy stopped and a masked gunman reportedly threatened the passengers with a gun and
asked for money, LancasterOnline.com reported.

Two of the occupants threw their wallets to the suspect, while a third tossed his behind the would-be robber. When the suspect turned his back, the driver of the buggy directed the horse to run off into a nearby field.
"A horse and buggy has no problem in a field, and they figured the robber wouldn't follow them out there," East Lampeter police Lt. Robin Weaver told LancasterOnline.com. "It was pretty quick thinking on their part."
The would-be robber then reportedly drove away.
No one was injured in the altercation and police are asking anyone with information on the incident to contact the department.
