Homer Moore, a former MMA fighter who last took the ring in 2007, was arrested in Arizona this week in connection to a 15-year-old murder case.
Tempe police and the U.S. Marshals Service jointly arrested the 42-year-old Monday on an outstanding
first-degree murder warrant, Fox Sports reported.
Authorities have long considered Moore a key suspect in the 1999 killing of Karam Hussein Jabbar, but never had enough evidence to arrest him. Now, with the help of witness statements, Moore is in custody.

Police say Moore murdered Jabbar, then 19 years old, in a drug deal gone wrong. The teen's decomposing body was discovered in the trunk of a car, his hands and feet tied up and a bag over his head.
The Medical Examiner's office determined the cause of death to be "asphyxia due to deprivation of oxygen due to ligatures and plastic
bag over head and neck," according to azfamily.com.
Moore is currently being held on $1 million bond.
The veteran MMA fighter made his debut in 1999 and ended his career with a
record of 26-9-2, according to Yahoo Sports' Cagefighter blog.
