The Hobby Lobby Challenge is a new social media trend that has teens flocking to retailers' floral sections to snap creative photos.
It began when Kelsey Maggart snapped a picture of herself in front of a floral section of a Hobby Lobby, Business Insider reported.
Maggart composed the image to make it appear as if she was submerged in the wild and then tweeted it.
"A few weeks ago my friend said he was shooting in Hobby Lobby so we both shot there, in different stores, to compare our shoots," Maggart told ABC News. "We live in Indiana, so flowers aren’t really an option for a few more months."
The post soon went viral and since then teens have been flocking to craft stores to try and mimic the photo.
The result is a worldwide craze, but store clerks are getting annoyed with having to clean up the mess left behind once the selfies have been snapped.
Despite the disgruntled employees, it seems that teens, and adults, are having fun with the challenge.
Aminah McKenzie, a 20-year-old photographer, told POPSUGAR that she enjoyed the challenge.
"I wanted my photos to seem a little different, so it was a bit challenging, but I loved the way they turned out," she said.
University of Alabama student Kourtney King agreed that the challenge was fun and creative.
"Especially when the people in the store were getting involved and stopping their shopping to watch me shoot," she told POPSUGAR.
