While the Republicans were duking it out at the primary debate Wednesday night, Hillary Clinton stopped by the "Tonight Show" to perform a skit with Jimmy Fallon, who was dressed as Donald Trump.
The segment started out with the obvious connection: Hillary and Bill Clinton attended Donald Trump's wedding at Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida, in 2005.
"I haven't seen you since my last wedding," said Fallon, who was done up in full Trump makeup, and calling Clinton from a golden telephone.
"Well, I'm sure I'll see you at the next one," said Clinton, delivering the punchline.
In real life,
CNN reported that Clinton has distanced herself from Trump and downplayed her attendance throughout this summer campaign season.
"I happened to be planning to be in Florida and I thought it would be fun to go to his wedding because it is always entertaining," Clinton told reporters in New Hampshire last month. "Now that he is running for president it is a little more troubling."
"I didn't know him that well," she added at the time.
Trump boasted that same week that the former first couple came to his wedding because they owed him.
"Hillary Clinton, I said be at my wedding, and she came to my wedding," Trump said last month. "She had no choice because I gave to [the] foundation."
During Wednesday's "Tonight Show" segment, Fallon-Trump instructed Clinton to "yell" a lot to win over the hearts and minds of the voters, and said he thought Bernie Sanders was "losing his hair."
Clinton joked back every time, ending the segment with her own "yuuuuge" imitation of Trump. She also did her own version of Trump during the sit-down
