Hillary Clinton is considering a run for New York City mayor, again or still, despite a poll that suggests she should sit this one out. Signs have sprouted, like they did during the unreal days right after her November loss.

She recently met with several political associates there to discuss the possibility, according to TMZ, and a source who attended the meeting said by its conclusion it appeared that Clinton was leaning toward running against current Mayor Bill de Blasio, also a Democrat.

TMZ dropped the news on Wednesday, the same day federal prosecutors went out of their way to say whatever the mayor was being investigated for wouldn't result in any charges.

TMZ gained some credibility as a source for news last week after the brains behind it, Harvey Levin, met with President Donald Trump in the Oval Office, possibly about Trump doing an interview on Levin's new Fox News series.

A poll out last week said most Americans – not necessarily New Yorkers – don’t want Clinton to run for mayor, noted the Daily Mail.

Rasmussen Reports released the poll, which surveyed 1,000 U.S. voters in a two-day span and determined that 58 percent of them said they’d rather not see Clinton run for mayor. (23 percent said go for it, 19 percent said meh.)

Speculation surrounding a possible Hillary bid was growing again after “Hillary for Mayor” posters were put up around New York City, according to the Daily Express in Britain.

If Clinton did go for it next November, she would do it knowing she got more than 80 percent of New York voters while running against President Donald Trump.

In another poll, from Quinnipiac University, Clinton wins 49 percent of the votes compared to de Blasio’s 30 percent.

However, Tim Malloy, the assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Poll, apparently has inside information and doesn’t see Clinton running against de Blasio.

“New Yorkers aren’t in love with Mayor Bill de Blasio, but they seem to like him better than other possible choices – except Hillary Clinton, who probably is an impossible choice,” said Malloy said, per the Daily Express.
