HGTV viewers can begin entering to win the network's "Dream Home 2014," a prize package valued at nearly $2 million that includes a hulking SUV and a pile of cash.
The network announced via Business Wire that the 2014 grand prize package includes a fully furnished home near Lake Tahoe, Calif., a 2015 GMC Yukon Denali, and $250,000, courtesy of Quicken Loans.
"With soaring ceilings, unexpected bursts of bright colors and soft, cozy textures, this living room blends everything there is to love about modern mountain living," reads the description of the featured room
on the HGTV.com website.

The home sits in a wooded area minutes from the California recreation destination. The release announcing the contest noted viewers can enter online twice per day through Feb. 14 – once on HGTV.com and once at
FrontDoor.com.
HGTV Facebook and Twitter fans can receive updates and new details about the contest, as well as register for daily e-mail reminders. The odds of winning depend on the number of entries.
Complete with "breathtaking panoramic views of the Carson Range that separates California and Nevada," the HGTV Dream Home 2014 has three bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths.
HGTV, which operates a cable network that reaches more than 99 million U.S. homes, specializes in home-and-garden items such as paint, flooring and other home-oriented products.
Last year, former marine Carole Simpson, of Columbia, Tenn., won the HGTV Dream Home 2013, a GMC Acadia Denali and $500,000. Her winning entry was selected from more than 77 million entries.
