Heineken’s new ad shows Pepsi how it’s done, with the recently released clip entitled "Worlds Apart" focusing on social awareness issues like feminism, climate change and transgender rights.

The ad was posted on YouTube last Friday and had garnered more than 3 million views by late Thursday, according to the Business Insider.

In the ad, people with different political views were paired up for an experiment that they had no knowledge of. Each pair was tasked with a "bonding" activity.

When the activity concluded, each watched a video of them individually speaking about certain political topics – topics they shared completely different perspectives on. After watching the video, they were left with two choices – either they could walk away from one another, or they could stick around and have a Heineken beer while discussing their differences.

Each pair chose to stay and talk over a beer, and one man in the ad was seen telling the person he was paired up with that they could exchange numbers to stay in touch.

This comes after Pepsi recently came under fire for a political advertisement starring Kendall Jenner that went wrong, according to the International Business Times.

It didn’t take long for Pepsi to pull the ad following backlash and criticism over the commercial that appeared to appropriate the Black Lives Matter movement.

"Pepsi was trying to project a global message of unity, peace and understanding," the company said in a statement earlier this month. "Clearly we missed the mark, and we apologize. We did not intend to make light of any serious issue. We are removing the content and halting any further rollout. We also apologize for putting Kendall Jenner in this position."

Twitter users responded to the new Heineken ad.
