Heidi Klum has been slammed for "fat-shaming" a plus-size contestant on Tuesday's episode of 'America's Got Talent.'
The 47-year-old supermodel sparked outrage when she hit the buzzer on young and aspiring dancer Amanda Lacount before she had finished her performance, Fox News reported.
The contestant already has created a name for herself in the dancing world and many viewers felt she had enough talent to proceed to the next round. Klum had "bullied" Lacount because of her looks, Twitter users said.
"@heidiklum #AGT what you did to that dancer that you said no to was a form of bullying!! Most of the acts on the show are not 'Million dollar acts'!" wrote one viewer to Twitter.
"#HeidiKlum Wow. Fat shaming a young girl on #agt. You are old enough to know better!" another wrote.
Another viewer called for Klum's dismissal.
"This amazing talent @amandalacount6 was Body Shamed by @heidiklum on @AGT. Heidi must GO! There is no room for this HATE IN AMERICA!"
One Twitter user accused Klum of being "just another bully on the playground" while another said she could have "just waited until the end and said no," adding that the X "was cruel."
Lacount spoke out on Wednesday about her rejection in an Instagram post shared to her 263,000 followers.
"As you can see there was a mix of drastically different opinions on my performance," she captioned a video of the moment 'AGT' gave feedback to her performance.
"I have been dealing with body shamers and people like Heidi thinking I’m not good enough for years but I’m going to make her eat her words! Also, the fact that Simon took the time to come backstage and talk to me about my performance means a lot," she continued.
"I respect him and all the judges so much and to get positive feedback (for the most part) felt amazing! Thank you for all the support! I love you guys so much and I hope I make you guys proud in the next round. I AM NOT HOLDING ANYTHING BACK."
