A heavy metal cover of the "Grease" classic "You're The One That I Want" by a goofy tribute band named Tragedy is making the rounds on social media, delighting an eclectic mix of Broadway fans and headbangers alike.
VH1.com reported that the cover band, whose full name is Tragedy: All Metal Tribute to the Bee Gees & Beyond, has branched out from their normal disco fare with the release of their fourth full-length album this year.
Unlike previous albums, in which all six members are united in single bandhood, the new album — "The Solo Albums" — features covers by individual band members. The album's first single comes from Disco Mountain Man, who leads the video for "You're The One That I Want."
The video itself features Disco Mountain Man in a campy getup of silver and gold sequins, rounded out with a pink scarf and heaps of eyeliner.
As he makes his way through Our Lady of Perpetual Decimation High School crooning lines made famous by the 1978 duet between John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John, he enlists the whole student body in an impromptu party.
