Hayley Howard, a 19-year-old University of New Orleans student, has been missing since the weekend, when she was last seen dropping off a friend at a dorm.
According to CBS News, Howard called her boyfriend at 2 a.m. Saturday and said she was on her way home after a group of people helped her fix a flat tire on her 2002 Toyota Corolla. The New Orleans Police Department tracked her cell phone at about 6 a.m. Saturday along Irish Bayou. They were searching the area and looking for signs of a vehicle entering the water.

WWL-TV reported more than 100 people showed up Wednesday to participate in a foot search that was set to go 5 miles in every direction from the Irish Bayou cell tower.
Howard is an honor student who recently was accepted in to the Xavier School of Pharmacy.
Friends and family have posted fliers and launched a social media push to find Howard. She is 5-foot-3, about 130 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a black dress and black shoes, according to a
Facebook page dedicated to the search.
The missing teen’s father, James Howard, is trying to stay positive as he searches.
"I just feel so bad that my little girl is out here somewhere,"
Howard told The Times Picayune. "Hopefully she is still with us.”
