Google wished everyone a Happy All Hallows' Eve Friday with a series of Halloween-themed, interactive doodles on its homepage.
From cartoon-y jack-o-lanterns and scarecrows to a spooky graveyard scene, ghosts, and zombies, the Google illustrations are fun and freaky.
Users can preview all of the designs by refreshing the
Google homepage, according to The Independent.
"Six in all, the doodles celebrate the modern trick-or-treat interpretation of Halloween as we know it, with the idea that people dress up to fool the dead, using humor and ridicule to
confront the power of death," wrote Siliconrepublic.com.
"However, Halloween, also known as All Hallows’ Eve or Allhallowtide in the Christian world, is in fact an ancient Celtic harvest festival that extends back more than 2,000 years," the site continued.
The Google doodles received a positive response on social media.
