Former Fox Host Carlson Calls Out Van Susteren in Tweet

Gretchen Carlson on Twitter Friday called out former Fox News colleague Greta Van Susteren, saying Van Susteren labeled her a liar after her sexual harassment allegations against Roger Ailes came out.  

True but what about when u called me a liar 24 hours after my story broke? U knew no #facts. You were someone I had always admired & heralded every time u came on my show. And u are a lawyer which made it so outrageous. https://t.co/DxJAXsyhyl

Carlson was responding to Van Susteren’s tweet criticizing ABC News for refusing to initially admit its error on a botched report.

What makes it worse is that ABC won’t admit its error and now tries to sugar coat it with now calling their correction just a ‘clarification’ - (and other news organizations of course repeated ABC original story) https://t.co/bgZhtK40wB

Van Susteren initially reacted to Carlson's claims in 2016 by telling People Magazine: “Of course, the first thing that occurred to me is that, unfortunately, we have a disgruntled employee, a colleague. I read that her show wasn’t being renewed and, being a lawyer, I thought she got angry.”

She later backtracked on a Facebook Post, saying she regretted supporting Ailes.
