"Twilight" actor Gregory Tyree Boyce, 30, and his girlfriend Natalie Adepoju, 27, died from an accidental drug overdose, officials have determined.
The couple's bodies were found in their Las Vegas condo on May 13, and, although it was alleged that a white powdery substance was found at the scene, it was unclear whether or not drugs contributed towards their deaths.
Clark County Coroner John Fudenberg has now confirmed that Boyce and Adepoju died from the effects of cocaine and fentanyl intoxication, Newsweek reported.
Last month, an unnamed source told E! News that it was Boyce's cousin who discovered the couple's bodies.
"Greg's cousin woke up and noticed that Greg's car was still at the house. He was worried because Greg was supposed to be in L.A. His cousin went to check on him and found them," the source revealed.
Prior to his death, Boyce was "handling a lot of business," the insider added. The actor, best known for his role as Tyler Crowley in "Twilight," moved to Las Vegas to be closer to his mother but would have to "commute to L.A. for acting jobs." Then, on his 30th birthday in December, Boyce shared a bittersweet Instagram post reflecting on his life.
"At one point I didn't think I would make it to see 30 years old. Over the years like everyone else I have made mistakes along the way, but today is one of those days I only reflect on the great ones," he wrote. "What a time to be alive. Happy Dirty 30 self! Let's make the rest of these years your best!!"
