Cleveland Browns offensive lineman Greg Robinson and former NFL player, Jaquan Tyreke Bray, are facing up to 20 years in prison after cops busted them for allegedly driving with 157 pounds of marijuana in a rented vehicle, according to a criminal complaint filed Wednesday.

Robinson was selected No. 2 overall in the 2014 NFL draft.

Suspicion arose when they pulled up to the Sierra Blanca Checkpoint Station on Monday evening and drew attention from the U.S. Border Patrol canine unit.

Bray, who was at the wheel, was asked to pull over while authorities conducted an inspection. They found 157 pounds of marijuana stuffed inside several large duffle bags.

They also found glass jars and packaging equipment, along with $3,100 in cash, Fox News noted.

According to the affidavit, Robinson had rented the vehicle on Sunday in Los Angeles. He made plans with an unnamed third individual, allegedly an Uber driver who he had met in 2018, to drive him and Bray to Louisiana.

When they reached El Paso, Robinson told Bray to take over driving and offered the third passenger money to claim the marijuana as his at the secondary inspection at the Sierra Blanca checkpoint.

The Uber driver, who is not a U.S. citizen, but is a legal resident immigrant, refused to say the marijuana was his and said he wouldn’t have driven the players if he had known there were drugs in the car, according to Fox News. He was not charged.

The defendants meanwhile, were held without bond at the El Paso County Detention Center and will face a preliminary hearing on Friday.

Robinson signed with the Cleveland Browns in 2018, but was recently informed that he would not be re-signed, according to NFL Media.

The report comes after a disappointing 6-10 season in which the offensive lineman battled inconsistency.
