An 81-year-old grandma pulled two pythons from a grill in Brisbane, Australia, on Monday after two men called her to come to their aid.
Faye Morgan has had her share of experience handling snakes in the past, which is why Jackson Wright did not hesitate to call her after spotting a snake slither into the side of a barbeque grill in his backyard, The Washington Post noted.
Morgan's relation to Wright is quite a mouthful — she is his brother's wife's grandmother, but more importantly she has wrestled a snake from his backyard in the past.
As Wright and his father stood guard, she lifted the grill's cover, grabbed the two ends of one snake and quickly transferred it into a plastic bin on the ground.
Wright's father slammed the lid down.
Morgan then removed the second snake in a similar fashion, placing it in the same plastic tub.
Morgan told 7 News Sydney that she wasn't scared to remove the snakes, but she doesn't recommend others try to do what she does.
"She's done it before. She just came straight over and was very careful about what she was doing," Wright said, according to The Washington Post. "She was just saying: 'Oh yeah, I'm not scared of them. Everyone's got to be brave about it.' She was great."
These two pythons were relatively small, however, larger pythons such as the reticulated python, can kill their prey in minutes by coiling around them and squeezing them to death, USA Today noted.
Professional snake handler Stuart McKenzie told 7 News that residents who encounter snakes in their yards should leave them alone and they would hopefully move on.
"If it's in a backyard, take your pets and kids away, and always maintain a safe distance from the snake," he said.
