Glenn Beck may be looking to hire away a top Fox News executive to his company, indicating he may have big plans for his TV future, Mediaite reported Tuesday.

The publication, which covers print, online and broadcast media, said Joel Cheatwood, a senior vice president of production and development at Fox News, will be joining Beck’s Mercury Radio Arts soon to work with him on his next creative idea.
There’s no official deal, but indications are that Cheatwood will soon be joining Mercury.
The move comes on the heels of a New York Times report questioning whether Beck would sign on with Fox after his current contract expires. The report suggested a drop in ratings and a backlash for Beck’s controversial stances have made Beck’s standing at the cable news network vulnerable.
Prior to joining Fox in 2007, Cheatwood was executive director of program and talent development at CNN. There he launched both Beck’s program and Showbiz Tonight for Headline News, and he also oversaw the launch of Nancy Grace.
