Giuliana Rancic ended her 14-year career as an "E! News" host on Monday, and she was feted with bloopers from the show and warm words when her husband made a surprise appearance.
Cast and crew members celebrated Rancic’s long run on the show, although she’s not disappearing from the network altogether. She will continue to work on
"Live From the Red Carpet" specials and "Fashion Police," People magazine reported.
"I knew this day would be bittersweet but I was not prepared for how incredibly special it would be," the star told People. "I am lucky to have worked side-by-side with some of the most talented and kindest people in the business who gave me the most loving send-off I could have ever hoped for. I cried tears of joy but today feels like my graduation day and I can’t wait to write my next chapter."
Rancic announced in early July that she would be leaving "E! News," saying at the time that she wanted to focus on her wine and clothing lines.
Rancic shared a photo of the cast and crew on Instagram and was clearly emotional about the end of her “E! News” career.
Rancic’s husband, Bill Rancic, also appeared on the Monday night show.
“Even in recent months, through some of the harder times, you showed nothing but
grace under pressure,” Bill Rancic said, as quoted by The Inquistr. “You’ve dealt with worse and you’ve taken the high road, when others wouldn’t have, something you always do . . . That’s something that makes me love and respect you even more.”
Maria Menounos will take over Rancic’s spot on the network's news show.
