Genetics testing has gone live for dieting as Virtual Health Partners announced a partnership with Pathway OME that will take a "holistic view" to living a healthy lifestyle.
Virtual Health Partners is a virtual wellness and weight loss company while Pathway OME, a subsidiary of Pathway Genomics, is a genetic testing and artificial intelligence healthcare interpretation company that assists large corporations and consumers with personalized wellness and medical treatment, according to a statement about the partnership.
"This partnership between VHPGO and Pathway takes a holistic view of wellness and redefines what it means to live a healthy lifestyle," Jillian Bridgette Cohen, chief executive and cofounder of Virtual Health Partners said in a statement.
"Our customers now have the opportunity to evaluate genetic predispositions, gain insight into their nutritional needs and workout routines, and uncover a personal path to a healthier lifestyle," she continued.
Pathway collects DNA through an at-home cheek swab process and provides results in less than three weeks, the statement said. With this new partnership, Pathway customers will be able to discover insights into their DNA and will now also be able to utilize that knowledge so they can focus on powerful lifestyle, fitness and diet changes through recommendations via the VHPGO app.
