Chip and Joanna Gaines announced this week their new “Fixer Upper” spinoff, “Fixer Upper: Behind the Design” will debut in April, relieving fans already sad that the fifth and final season of “Fixer Upper” ends April 3.
“Behind the Design” will explain Joanna Gaines’ process of designing each of the homes featured in the Season 5 “Fixer Upper” episodes and go deeper into what she did with each home.
“I can’t wait to show our fans how every piece of the design comes together before the final reveal,” Gaines said in a news release. “I want to nail every detail so that, when we walk away, Chip and I know we’ve given a family the one-of-a-kind home of their dreams.”
The show will cover everything from paint color choices to the personal touches that make a room feel special.
“Jo puts her heart and soul into every fixer upper we design,” Chip Gaines said in the release. “Our hope is that these homes become a beautiful part of each family’s next chapter.”
The Gainses told fans in September that the fifth season of Fixer Upper would be their last, and in January they announced they are expecting their fifth child, although a due date has not yet been revealed.
Twitter fans were happy they would get to see more from the Gainses after the last of the new “Fixer Upper” episodes end.
