The sequel for “Fantastic Beasts” now has an official cast photo and title: “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald,” which were released by Warner Brothers on Thursday.
New cast members include Jude Law as a young Albus Dumbledore and Callum Turner, who plays Newt Scamander’s older brother Theseus, a war hero who is now engaged to Leta Lestrange, played by Zoe Kravitz, according to Collider.
Claudia Kim also appears as Maledictus, who carries a blood curse that eventually transforms her into a beast, Collider reported. Johnny Depp returns as dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald, who was captured at the end of the first film but has now escaped and is gathering followers.
The script was written by J.K. Rowling as the second of a planned five-film series and David Yates will direct, Forbes reported. The movie is scheduled to open in theaters one year from today.
