Fabian Bösch took riding the escalator to a whole new level after he casually grabbed the handrail and hung from the side with one arm as it pulled him to the top.
The Swiss freestyle skier, who is slated to compete in the Olympic Games on Sunday, posted a video of his stunt to Instagram on Monday and has since received over 33,000 likes and thousands of comments.
Participating in the Winter Olympics is a momentous occasion that can be nerve-wracking for athletes forced to sit around waiting to compete in their scheduled events but Bösch seems determined to make the most of the experience.
Aside from reinventing how to ride an escalator, he has also been climbing up ledges and posing for photos in the most unexpected places in and around the Olympic Village, Yahoo Sports reported.
Then there is the video of Bösch and a friend riding a pallet truck down a long corridor.
Fellow Olympic athlete, Lindsey Vonn, took to social media to egg Bösch on.
Bösch shot to fame in 2015 when he clinched a podium finish against top freestyle skiers at the Dew Tour, according to his Olympics biography.
This earned him an invitation to the X Games big air in 2016, where he won a gold medal in Aspen and a silver in Oslo.
He was named the AFP big air champion by the end of the 2015/16 season but an injury sidelined him for part of the 2016/2017 season.
