Elsa Raven, best known for her roles in the 1985 film "Back to the Future," has died at age 91. The actress passed away on Tuesday in her Los Angeles home, her agent confirmed to Deadline. It is unclear how she died.
Raven's acting career began on stage in New York City before she found success in Hollywood. The star appeared in dozens of films including "Back to the Future," as well as "The Amityville Horror," in which she played the realtor who sold the family their house. She also played John Malkovich’s landlady in "In the Line of Fire," and Ida Strauss in "Titanic." Many of her scenes were cut from the film, but she featured in Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On" as part of an elderly couple lying on the bed as water pours into their room.
Raven was also a star on the small screen with performances in "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" and "Seinfeld." She had recurring roles in "Amen," in which she took on the character of Inga for 17 episodes between 1988 to 1990, "Wiseguy," in which she played Vinnie's mother from 1987 to 1990, and shortly thereafter in "Days Of Our Lives" until 1999, according to NBC News.
Raven's final role was as Mrs. Harrison in the 2011 film "Answers to Nothing."
Raven is survived by 15 nieces and nephews.
