Those must have been some good egg rolls.
A Florida man desperate to heat up some egg rolls was arrested after allegedly shoving his on-again-off-again girlfriend when she refused to let him into her house.
Keith Johnson showed up on his girlfriend's doorstep last Monday evening, intoxicated and demanding to be let in to "eat some egg rolls that were in the house," according to a court complaint obtained by The Smoking Gun.
The 44-year-old rang the doorbell insistently after the unidentified woman, who he dated on-and-off for over four years, refused to allow him into her home. The 60-year-old woman eventually offered to bring the egg rolls out for Johnson, at which point he allegedly shoved her out the way.
A neighbor dialed 911 to report the incident, telling police that Johnson "was drunk and hit her neighbor."
When questioned by the responding officer, Johnson said "nothing happened," and that he just wanted his former partner "to heat up his egg rolls."
He admitted to pushing her but claimed that she had slapped him, the report said. The woman told police that she reacted to "something really nasty" he had said to her.
Johnson, who lives in Pensacola and works as an electrician, was arrested and taken to Santa Rosa county jail, where he was held on $500 bond. The Smoking Gun reported. He will appear in court on April 2 on a misdemeanor count.
