An East Peoria shooting left three dead over the weekend after an off-duty FBI officer killed a gunman that stormed into a sports bar in the Illinois town and shot his ex-wife and her new boyfriend.
The shooting happened around 8 p.m. Saturday at Fifth Quarter Sports Bar and Pizzeria, where East Peoria Community High School's Class of 1999 was holding its 15-year reunion.
Witnesses say 40-year-old Jason Moore stormed into the bar and opened fire on his ex-wife, 33-year-old Lori Moore, and her new boyfriend, 36-year-old Lance Griffel,
at point-blank range, the Peoria Journal Star reported.

An unidentified off-duty FBI agent who was at the bar at the time then shot and killed Jason Moore.
"After just a brief moment inside the bar, [Moore] pulled out a weapon and shot a female and a male," East Peoria Police Chief Dick Ganschow told the Journal Star. "He was subsequently shot . . . You can play the 'what if' game over and over again, but I think it's pretty clear in this case the presence of this officer and his ability to take very quick and very decisive action prevented a further tragedy."
According to CINewsNow.com, Lori Moore filed for divorce from Jason Moore in March 2013 and the dissolution of marriage was finalized in May 2013.
