Country singer Dustin Lynch was injured on stage by a beer can thrown at him during a Florida concert, but he continued the show before going to the hospital.
The not-so-nice incident happened in Niceville at the Boggy Bayou Mullet Festival on Friday night. Lynch, 29, was finishing up a cover of Garth Brooks tune "Friends in Low Places" when the tossed beer can hit him square in the face, according to
People magazine.
The cut was deep enough to require stitches after the show,
according to TMZ.
"I was walking down the catwalk and wham, out of nowhere this beer can just nailed me in the face," Lynch, 29, told People. "It was a completely full can and it felt like a baseball had hit me."
A small brawl followed as fellow concertgoers tried to identify the beer thrower who eventually escaped authorities.
Lynch posted a Twitter message about the incident early Saturday, thanking fans for their support.
One fan posted a selfie with showing the injured singer and his injury with fans in the background.
"We finished the show out like we always do," Lynch told People. "It was just a little bloodier than usual."
Lynch is known for his singles "Cowboys & Angels" and "Where It's At," which both reached both reached to the Top 5 of the U.S. country music charts.
