The Duggar-themed "Law & Order: SVU" episode aired on Wednesday, complete with its own dramatic twist, and the reality show family could learn something from the scripted show.

The episode tells the story of Lane, a 13-year-old girl whose large family stars in a reality show called "Baker's Dozen," which is apparently modeled after the Duggar family's "19 Kids & Counting." After getting sick during a purity ceremony, we learn Lane is pregnant, and the rest of the episode is devoted to finding out "whodunit," according to The Huffington Post.

When the fictional Baker family tells "SVU" detectives they'd like to handle the situation themselves, Detective Rollins (played by Kelli Giddish) refers to the Duggar family by name, insisting that their suggestion is a bad idea.

"Look at what happened with the Duggars," Rollins says to the Bakers. "Word gets out that one of those virgin Baker daughters is knocked up, there goes the TV show, the book deal, the multi-million dollar chastity empire."

In reality, TLC axed "19 Kids & Counting" earlier this year after it was revealed that eldest son, Josh, sexually molested a handful of women — including two of his sisters — years ago when he was a teenager, Us Weekly reported. Josh Duggar, a married father of four, was later implicated in the Ashley Madison cheating scandal and has since entered rehab for sex addiction.

On the "SVU" episode, suspicion shifts from a "Baker's Dozen" cameraman to eldest son Graham. In the end, it is revealed that the family's spiritual advisor and lawyer Pastor Greg Eldon (played by Ryan Devlin) fathered Lane's child, according to Entertainment Weekly.

The Duggars could take a note or two from the show, some said.

"When the preacher/lawyer says that the family will basically never turn him in because of their lucrative TV show and their fans, the response from the Bakers is basically what we wanted to hear from the Duggars all along," HuffPost's Carly Ledbetter wrote.

"I don't care about the damn show," Mrs. Baker told Eldon on the "SVU" episode. "And neither does [Mr. Baker]. We want him put away."
