A hangar fire at Dublin Airport grounded flights for nearly two hours on Wednesday.

The Irish Times reported that the fire broke out on the rooftop of hangar three around 7:15 a.m., and was extinguished by firefighters within an hour. No injuries were reported.

Six flights scheduled to land in Dublin were diverted to Shannon airport in Ireland’s south-west, while four more diverted north to the George Best/Belfast City airport.

"The aircraft in the hangar are not affected but will be fully inspected in due course, as safety is Eirtech Aviation’s number one priority," Eirtech Aviation, the owner of the hangar, said in a statement, The Guardian U.K. reported.

Passenger delays for those departing from the airport quickly mounted, and some customer service desks saw the formation of lines two-hours long.

"I’m here two hours and just a few minutes ago heard about the fire. I’ve flown millions of miles but never come across being treated like this and not being given any information," said Terry Crump, from Atlanta, Georgia. "This is the worst I’ve ever seen in an airline situation. It’s a fiasco."

"We’re waiting hours. Nobody has told us anything really," said Kate Daly, from Kerry.
